SCATTERED STORIES
Scattered Stories is a three-part installation series that withdraws the relationship between material and memory from the plane of representation, reconstituting it instead as a direct practice of trace production. Within this framework, the shoelace is no longer treated as a merely everyday object, but as a material carrier of forced movements, interrupted routes, and incomplete trajectories. The shoes and shoelaces used in this work were collected from the ruins left behi

Kadınların Hakkı Ödenmez / Women’s labor cannot be repaid.
Seçkin AYDIN, 2025 -Türkçe için aşağı ininiz- Women’s labor cannot be repaid. In Turkish, the expression “Hakkı Ödenmez” is commonly used to convey gratitude. This work returns the phrase from metaphor to its literal meaning: women’s labor often remains unpaid. Invisible domestic care, emotional labor, and structural inequalities in the workplace form the economic basis of this invisibility. The phrase appears in gilded balloon letters, materials associated with celebration

"pLASTOPia: Future Ecologies"
p LASTOP ia: Future Ecologies. In its shift from fast fashion to an ultra-fast fashion regime, today’s system of production and consumption generates, exhausts, and discards objects at accelerating speed. Yet this “disappearance” operates only within the logic of the market. Once released into the environment, materials enter a different temporality. The textile industry’s vast production of microplastics constitutes the material foundation of this transformation. Everything

2020 For Engilish scroll down.

“scattered stories; home” 2017
This work consists of shoes and shoelaces. Shoes are collected from Diyarbakir a Kurdish city destroyed in a recent war, while others were found among the remnants of the refugees washed ashore on the Aegean coast of Turkey. The house and furniture, imagined by the artist, belong to the owner of the shoes whose stories are scattered or interrupted. Scattered Stories; Home extends the void opened in the first phase—where the body is reduced to a trace—by relocating it directl

“Scattered Stories; Hummanitarian Corridor”
Humanitarian Corridors are often set up in war or conflict zones to provide relief or evacuation for civilians, but they are sometimes misused to make war more destructive. In this work, a humanitarian corridor is constructed using shoes and shoelaces found among the ruins of Diyarbakır/Sur, a Kurdish city destroyed in a recent war, as well as among the remains of Syrian refugees washed ashore on the Aegean coast of Turkey. "The Last Trump / Eco-Calyptic", 2016.
"The Last Trump / Eco-Calyptic" “The Last Trump” is a mythical instrument believed in many religious traditions to herald the end of the world. It is often portrayed as being blown by a male angel. In this work, the image of the male angel is reimagined within the context of the consumerist, exploitative, and patriarchal capitalist system —a system that treats the Earth and its resources as if they are infinitely disposable. This photograph was taken near Hasankeyf , an anc
